Imagine being hired by a liquor brand to do their in-house photography, or signing a monthly retainer contract with a liquor brand. You have the ideas and the ambition, but need the practical skills to get there.
I am here to help you on your beverage photography journey.
I personally work as a photographer, videographer, and recipe developer for respected brands, bars and restaurant groups. In 2017, I started the Instagram and blog titled “High-Proof Preacher”, which has since been featured in Forbes, AskMen, Liquor.com, VinePair & on The Today Show. I was also awarded both the editor’s & reader’s choice for Best Drinks Instagram by Saveur Magazine.
I started Cocktail Camera
To make this incredibly fun and fulfilling career path more accessible. When I started, there were a ton of online resources for food photography, portrait photography, and several other niches. But nothing too specific to taking photos of glassware, bottles, liquid or shiny labels… i.e. beverage photography.
So I decided to change that myself

What Cocktail Camera Members have to say
Â
Jordan is a fantastic teacher that provides clear and concise information to help you master your light. My cocktail photos have improved vastly since taking the course and I absolutely recommend it, especially if you haven't already made the switch to artificial light.
- Kirby from Spokane, WA
My previous experience with photography courses has been that you typically get a general overview of topics and not much actual substance. But with Cocktail Camera Pro, it’s been the total opposite. The level of detail Jordan goes into is unlike ANYTHING I’ve found yet.
- Shawn from Denver, CO
I just joined the Pro course and I have to say, it is BY FAR the best resource for learning about artificial light, even as it relates to non beverage applications. Thanks for putting in all the work to make this.
- John from Boise, ID
Cocktail Camera has exceeded all of my expectations. I'm now creating work I didn't even know I was capable of creating.
- Kamber from California
I have always loved creating beverage content but lacked the ability and confidence to light and capture my vision. Jordan’s courses have absolutely blown me away. So simple to understand yet so significant in its application to my work. I couldn’t recommended it more!
- Suze from the United Kingdom

Meet Jordan

In 2017, he started the Instagram and blog titled “High-Proof Preacher”, which has since been featured in Forbes, AskMen, Liquor.com, VinePair & on The Today Show.
In 2021, he launched the Cocktail Camera e-learning platform to provide specific education about beverage and product photography and content creation. Cocktail Camera has helped well over 1,000 students from all over the world, including students across the United States, Germany, France, Great Britain, South Korea, Dubai, India, Australia, and beyond.
I have built a whole career out of creating cocktail content
Â
From taking pictures of cocktails in my backyard with my little camera, to now running my own creative studio and working for the biggest liquor brands in the industry, it’s pretty wild.
Saying that I’m a “cocktail and bar photographer” doesn’t sound like a real job, but it’s without a doubt the most fun and fulfilling job I’ve had yet.
It’s not exactly a straightforward careerpath. For me, it took a few twists and turns, and a lot of “messing up” to find my way.
But since launching Cocktail Camera, I’ve helped hundreds of people all over the world not only up their photography and video skills, but actually book paying clients.
You never know where beverage photography might take you, but you have to get started somewhere.
